I have previously mentioned how much the Meta (formerly Facebook) company is focused on its metaverse vision. Right after the Facebook Connect event on October 28, it was announced on the Oculus blog that Within, the developer studio of the popular Supernatural VR fitness application, was acquired.

With this move, Meta has incorporated a total of 6 important VR studios within the last two years.

For those wondering, the other studios under Meta are:

  • Sanzaru Games: (Asgard’s Wrath and others)
  • Ready at Dawn: (Lone Echo and others)
  • Downpour Interactive: (Onward)
  • BigBox VR: (Population: One)
