Bagdat Avenue, one of the most famous districts of Istanbul, has begun hosting Apple’s third store in Turkey. The part that actually interests us is the active use of AR (augmented reality) technology in the opening promotion.

The store will also host a special augmented reality exhibition developed by creative technologists Tin Nguyen and Ed Cutting, along with Turkish sound artist Oğuz Öner. Using the LiDAR scanner on the newest iPad Pro and iPhone 13 Pro models, visitors will be able to see ceramic vessels inspired by the traditional art of paper marbling as AR on their screens and hear the unique spatial audio elements accompanying the experience.
