Registration has opened for the VIVECON 2021 event, which HTC announced last month with a tweet . At the event, which will take place on May 11 and 12, industry experts, company executives, and special guests will deliver presentations. Participation in the event is free, it will be held online, and anyone interested can register. At this meeting, which has received approximately 30,000 participant registrations as of May 1st when I am writing this post, HTC Vive is expected to introduce a new ‘game-changingvirtual reality (VR) headset. In fact, according to some rumors, two different series of virtual reality headset models could be introduced: one for end-users and one for professionals.

Personally, I think after all these years, a wireless, affordable model for the end-user should come from Vive. I have witnessed a few times that wired virtual reality headsets are left to collect dust in a corner after being used only a handful of times. I hope we can see a device that can compete with the Quest.

Since I have no other appointments during these ‘full lockdown’ days of house arrest, I will also be attending in 10 days and will try to share my impressions.
