During the Microsoft Ignite developer conference, Microsoft announced Mesh, a new cloud-based service that it says will facilitate the creation of multi-user XR applications.

The Mesh tool provides developers with spatial voice communication, cloud-based data management, and spatial sharing capabilities with avatar support for users. Although the service is primarily aimed at immersive applications, it is also envisioned to support other platforms such as web browsers or smartphones.
