The winners of the 2020 Steam Awards , which are chosen by user votes and are the most important awards for the gaming industry, have been announced. Half-Life: Alyx , which was released by Valve in March 2020 for VR headsets and made a huge splash upon release, was chosen as the best VR game of the year. Phasmophobia ranked second, The Room VR: A Dark Matter third, Thief Simulator VR fourth, and STAR WARS™: Squadrons ranked fifth.
