The HP Reverb G2 VR headset, developed by HP in collaboration with Valve and Microsoft, was introduced yesterday. Promising the best visual experience in its class, high-quality speakers, superior tracking and performance, an ergonomic design, and full compatibility with SteamVR and Windows Mixed Reality, the HP Reverb G2 VR headset has managed to attract enough attention in the virtual reality industry.

It is worth mentioning from the start, the device’s price is set at $599 and it is expected to be released in the fall. The device works by connecting to a PC via a cable. In terms of category, it is a competitor to the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift S. So, it is not a wireless standalone device like the Oculus Quest.

The company states that it took feedback into account after the HP Reverb G1, which it launched in May last year, and that the upgrades and improvements made in this version of the virtual reality headset were designed with users in mind.

As general features of the device, 4-camera tracking, a next-generation WMR controller, full compatibility with WMR (Windows Mixed Reality), an ergonomic design, 2,160 × 2,160px resolution per eye, improved headphones and stereo microphones, and a USB Type-C port stand out.
