DigiLens Inc. , an innovative company in holographic waveguide display technology for extended reality (XR), announced an investment from Samsung Venture Investment Corp (Samsung Ventures) into DigiLens today. Samsung Ventures first participated in DigiLens’s Series C funding round and has now invested again through a convertible note. It is worth noting that the company, founded in 2003, has successfully raised $110 million in funding to date.

DigiLens, the developer of highly notable waveguide displays and laser waveguide-based beam generators, aims to introduce products for augmented reality glasses that will satisfy consumers at an accessible price point in the future.

The technology of the company, which I also became aware of through this news, looks breathtaking. Bringing lightweight, portable, and visually satisfying augmented reality glasses down to prices that people can afford sounds amazing. I have added it to my watchlist. I will keep you informed of the developments.
