MIT Launches Website for Children to Learn Artificial Intelligence Online
Led by Assistant Professor Cynthia Breazeal, working at the Media Lab within MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the US, an internet website has been prepared for online artificial intelligence education and activities for children.
While the Covid-19 pandemic has taken the entire world hostage, already causing damage in almost every field from tourism to transportation, and the service sector to construction, some sectors have already begun to evolve rapidly with the impact of technology. The most notable of these is the education sector. Many countries have transitioned to online education, and TV or online content has gained vital importance for children’s education.
Developed countries, in particular, are already doing everything they can for children’s AI education. China and the US are leading the way in this regard. Although it is in English, I see this as an important initiative for K-12 students to start their artificial intelligence education and access resource documents with the support of their parents.
The expertise that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology possesses in the field of artificial intelligence is undeniable, and under certain conditions, they have allowed the website they opened to be translated into other languages and distributed. I believe that utilizing this as an opportunity falls upon today’s educators and parents.
