Virtual reality browser Firefox Reality now supports Oculus Quest
Since the release of Firefox Reality by Mozilla last year, the company has been gradually increasing the support for its virtual reality browser, and after supporting Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset, internet browser support for Oculus Quest has now been announced.
With the Firefox Reality VR web browser, it is possible to use Oculus Quest’s 6 different motion sensors (DoF sensors), experience extended reality videos, and meet with your friends via Mozilla Hubs .
Firefox Reality has a number of features, such as Enhanced Tracking Protection, which prevents sites from tracking you and collecting personal data for advertising and technology companies. This option is set by default. The statement made by Mozilla on the subject is as follows: “We strongly believe that privacy should not be relegated to optional settings. Another unseen plus of this option is that it increases the speed of the browser.”
To ensure that Firefox Reality can be used by as many people as possible, the application currently supports 10 different languages, including Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. It should also be noted that broader language support is on the way. Furthermore, Firefox Reality also features voice control to search the web instead of typing.
