Microsoft joined the XR Association, which supports the development of AR and VR. XR Association operates as a trade association representing headset and technology manufacturers in the XR industry, including Google, HTC VIVE, Facebook Oculus, Samsung, and Sony. Microsoft also joined this association, whose aim is to promote the global growth of the XR industry and support its development through research.

Microsoft is expected to support the XR Association’s policy, advocacy, and government affairs work.
