Beijing-based Nolo VR , one of the developers of mobile 6DOF tracking technology, received a 15 million dollar Series A+ investment led by Joy Capital. With this investment , the company has secured a total of 24.5 million dollars in financing.

In a statement to the press, Nolo VR announced that the investment will be allocated to VR tracking technologies and R&D efforts.

Founded in 2015, Nolo VR has since launched both its core hardware platform Nolo CV1 and the Nolo Home software, which allows Oculus Go and Gear VR headset users to play SteamVR games.

The company’s popular product, the Nolo CV1, is a wireless 6DOF tracking device based on optic-acoustic-radio-signal tracking technology and PolarTraq technology. It includes a room-mounted base for 6DOF head and motion controller tracking, a head-mounted marker, and two motion controllers.

Nolo VR says it has invested more than 15 million dollars in VR tracking technology and holds 125 authorized or accepted patents worldwide, along with international patents applied in 12 major countries.
