Known for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic personality, Bill Gates drew attention by making a comparison between AI and nuclear weapons at a conference at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. He stated that technology could be used to harm people as well as to help them become more advanced.

According to a report by CNET, the Microsoft co-founder noted that, just like artificial intelligence, nuclear energy and nuclear weapons are both “promising and dangerous” technologies. He also added that, for the time being, there are not many examples where artificial intelligence is used to benefit society.
