The popular SSH and Telnet client PuTTY, which is used to establish secure connections over the internet without even requiring installation, received an update after 20 months and was upgraded to version 0.71. It is reported that 8 important security vulnerabilities have been patched with the new version, and that all previous versions contained multiple vulnerabilities that could allow a server to be compromised.
