The popular SSH and Telnet client PuTTY , which is used to establish secure connections over the internet without even requiring installation, received an update after 20 months and was upgraded to version 0.71. It is reported that 8 important security vulnerabilities have been patched with the new version, and that all previous versions contained multiple vulnerabilities that could allow a server to be compromised.
