According to an article published in the eNeuro journal, humans can sense the Earth’s magnetic field. Although it had been previously claimed that humans could sense magnetic fields, researchers have managed to find direct evidence for the first time. It is believed that magnetic particles in the brain lie at the root of this ability. The experiment was conducted with 34 participants in a dark room surrounded by electrically charged columns, by examining the responses in the participants’ brains and measuring how people react to differences in magnetic fields.
