Then, as this bubble collapses in on itself, it produces extreme heat and pressure reaching thousands of degrees Celsius, creating plasma—a state where electrons are freed from their atoms. Inspired by this magnificent ability, scientists created a replica of this shrimp species’ claw using a 3D printer and simulated the exact same event in a lab environment.
